by Jim Maurice, WJON.com

SARTELL -- In Sartell, they were scheduled to receive just over $443,000 in LGA this year, after the Governor's cuts they'll be getting just over $283,000. And for 2010, Sartell's LGA is almost completely wiped-out, they'll be getting just $3,600.

City Administrator Patti Gartland says they are leaving 2 1/2 city positions vacant -- 1 1/2 in the police department and 1 in the street department.   She says the city has also frozen the salaries of non-union employees at their 2008 rates, deferred squad car and street maintenance equipment replacements for at least a year, have no capital equipment purchases, and overtime pay have been virtually been eliminated.
