by Jim Maurice, WJON.com

UNDATED -- The College of St. Benedict was one of the top benefactors in a 24-hour state-wide on-line fundraising campaign.

The website givemn.org says they raised over $13 million for over 3,100 non-profit agencies in their first-ever "Give to the Max" campaign.

The top three organizations with the most donations get a bonus prize. Topping the list with over 1,200 donations was Second Harvest Heartland, they'll get an extra $5,000. In second place was The College of St. Benedict, they'll receive an extra $2,500. And in third, get an extra $1,000, was Twin Cities Public Television.

A $500,000 matching grant was also donated by the St. Paul, Minneapolis, and Bush Foundations.

Givemn.org says the results will not be finalized until all the donations have been collected. Final results will be released tomorrow (Thursday).
