FOLEY -- About 200 students and staff at Foley High school left their cars at home yesterday (Thursday), and walked, ran, and biked to school.
It was the first-ever "go green" day at the school.
History teacher Jesse Godzala says he was happy with yesterday's participation. He says there were a lot of runners, walkers, and bikers. But he says the kids also found more creative ways to get to school, including some coming by horse.
Godzala says about one-third of the people in the building found a way to get to school by not using gas.
