WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A girl who made it to the National Spelling Bee -- by winning the state title right here in St. Cloud -- will be on national TV tonight (Friday).
Four Minnesotans went to the Scripps National Spelling Bee this year, but today only 14-year-old Catherine Cojocaru of Rochester remained.
After surviving six rounds aired live on ESPN and words like sporangiophore (spore-AN'-gee-uh-four)-- only the word "anticum" (an-TIE-cum) stood between Catherine and the finals.
Catherine is one of only 16 students from across the country who will vie for the championship tonight (Friday) and you can watch it on live ABC starting at 7 p.m.
