Picture still murky on tornado season
by Lee Voss, WJON.com

CHANHASSEN -- Forecasters are predicting a bumpy start to the tornado season for the southern two-thirds of the nation. The jet stream has dipped deep into Tornado Alley and the Storm Prediction Center says storms will become more active as the weather warms.

Here in Minnesota, the picture is much more fuzzy. National Weather Service Meteorologist Lisa Schmit says there is no tornado patterns associated with El-Nino.  She says although the jet stream may change the peak of our tornado season, it's unclear how it will affect the number of tornadoes we will get.

Schmit says as the temperature warms and El-Nino moves out, they should have some more indicators about how bad our storm season will be.
