ST. CLOUD -- It's Earth Day! But there's a local bus company doing it's part every day to reduce air pollution.

Spanier Bus Service has retro fitted 41 school buses with federally approved filters that reduce engine emissions by up to 50%.

Operations Manager Ann Symalla says government funds paid for the upgrades.

Project Green Fleet is a collaboration of businesses, government agencies, and non profit organizations dedicated to improving Minnesota's air quality by reducing diesel emissions.

Spanier Bus Service is the first St. Cloud bus company to participate in the project.
