Hospitality House get $1 million donation
by Jim Maurice, WJON.com

ST. CLOUD -- The new Hospitality House being built by St. Cloud Hospital has just received a $1 million donation.

Ben and Dorothy Gorecki of Milaca have made the donation. And because of that, the new facility will be named "The St. Cloud Hospital Gorecki Guest House".

The hospital plans to raise a total of $2.5 million in donations for the project.

A groundbreaking ceremony will take place in August, and it's set to open next spring.

The Gorecki's have donated several million dollars to local projects over the years, including donations to the College of St. Benedict and St. Benedict's Senior Community.

The hospitality house has been met with some controversy. Last month the city council approved the plans, despite objects from neighbors in hospital neighborhood who said the building was too big.
