Political Science Professor: Pawlenty still in running for VP nod
by Jim Maurice, WJON.com
UNDATED -- As we get closer to the Republican National Convention, a local political science professor believes Governor Pawlenty's chances of becoming the Vice-Presidential nominee are growing.
Kay Wohlsborn teaches political science at the College of St. Benedict's and St. John's University. She says Pawlenty probably wouldn't help McCain carry Minnesota, but he is well respected among conservative Republicans -- especially in the upper Midwest.
She says another possibility is for John McCain to look for a female running mate.
The good news: All the speculation will be over soon. The Republican National Convention is the Twin Cities is just a little over a month away.
