ROCKVILLE -- The city of Rockville has joined the St. Cloud Area Planning Organization.
Mayor Brian Herberg says as they plan for the future, it only made sense to join a group which can help them lobby for federal funds.
He says one of the big projects they are trying to get funding for is the ROCORI Trail. It's a trail that would connect the Glacial Lakes Trail to St. Cloud's Beaver Island Trail and also the Lake Wobegon Trail.
Rockville will pay a pro-rated fee of 13-hundred-29-dollars for the rest of this year. They will pay nearly 27-hundred dollars a year in membership dues thereafter.
The A-P-O now has 12 members, including seven cities, three counties and two townships.
