Belgrade girl to compete in "Miss Teen International" pageant
by Megan Rinerson, WJON.com

CHICAGO -- A Stearns County girl wants to expand narcolepsy awareness through a pageant competition.

Megan Herickhoff will compete in the “Miss Teen International” competition tomorrow in Chicago. She says she suffers from narcolepsy, which means she gets tired during the day, and that is her platform.

Herickhoff says if she were to win the International title it would help her bring awareness to a broader range of people about narcolepsy and the American Heart Association's “Go Red Campaign”.

The competition starts tomorrow (Thursday) and the winner will be crowned on Saturday.

Herickhoff was crowned “Miss Minnesota Teen International” in March.
