UPDATE: Authorities release name of Osakis man killed in plane crash

SAUK CENTRE -- Stearns County authorities have released the name of the Osakis man killed in an ultralight plane crash Monday night.

Seventy-year-old Richard Eidem was killed when his single-seat, single propeller plane crashed onto the Lynx Golf Course in Sauk Centre.

The crash happened just after 8:00 Monday night. Witnesses say the airplane was flying low as it neared the golf course. It took off from the Sauk Centre Airport shortly before that.

No one else was hurt.
