St. Cloud area home sales down compared to last year

ST. CLOUD -- Home sales continue to slump in the St. Cloud area.

Figures from the St. Cloud Area Association of Realtors shows the number of homes sold for the first half of the year are down an average of eight-and-a-half percent compared to last year at this time.

First quarter numbers were down four percent while second quarter numbers were down 13-percent.

And, while it continues to be bad for sellers, buyers should be happy to hear the average sale price this year is down 11-percent compared to the first half of 2007.
