Golf tournament scheduled to raise money for K9 programs
by Lee Voss, WJON.com

FOLEY -- Officers with the Benton County and Sauk Rapids K-9 units are looking for golfers who want to play in a best ball tournament fundraiser.

The agencies are trying to raise money to create a training field for the dogs.

Sauk Rapids Police Sergeant Brent Bukowski says even though Waite Park has a training field for their two dogs, they are trying to get their own.  He says the dogs need the practice areas to stay sharp.

The tournament will be at Wapicada Golf Course Friday, August 29th. The cost is 55-dollars per person and you'll get a buffet style meal and a chance at prizes.

If you want to play, call the Benton County Sheriff's Department.
