Authorities investigate string of rural burglaries near Kimball, St. Augusta
by Lee Voss, WJON.com

MAINE PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP -- Stearns County authorities are investigating a string of burglaries they believe may be related.

Sheriff's officials say a homeowner in Maine Prairie Township near Kimball came home last week to find two strange men inside the home. The men fled the scene in a small green car when they saw the homeowner.  Police say no one was hurt in the incident.

Officers collected evidence at the scene they say may help them identify the suspects.  But, it's unclear if anything was taken.

Later that day the sheriff's department took three more burglary reports in Luxemburg Township and Fairhaven Township.

The men are described as white, and in their early to mid 20's. Authorities are asking for anyone who has information on these or other burglaries in the area to give them a call.
