Stolen ambulance found in ditch

PRINCETON -- The Sherburne County Sheriff's Department has recovered an ambulance that was taken for a joyride.

The ambulance was stolen from Baldwin Township just after 4:00 a.m. on Sunday.

It was found in a ditch at about 5:30 a.m., after some witnesses spotted it along Mille Lacs County Road 4.

There was some minor damage to the vehicle.

There were no signs of forced entry into the fire department.

And the case remains under investigation.
