Sartell man takes-on Bachmann in GOP Congressional race
by Jim Maurice, WJON.com

SARTELL -- A Sartell man is facing an uphill battle, as he challenges Incumbent Republican Michele Bachmann in the September Primary.

Aubrey Immelman says he doesn't have the name recognition, or the kind of money, that Bachmann has. So he has to be creative in bringing attention to his campaign.

He says he'll be walking across the Sixth District, starting on August 9th -- one month before the primary.

Immelman acknowledges that energy is a key issue in the race, but he says national security is the platform that he's running on.

The winner of the September 9th primary will face D-F-L endorsed candidate Elwyn Tinklenberg in the general election in November.

Immelman is a professor at St. John's University.
