ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Supreme Court has upheld the murder conviction of a former St. Cloud car salesman who raped and killed his neighbor in 1992.
Kent Jones was convicted in 2001 of killing Linda Jensen of Big Lake, but the Supreme Court threw out the conviction and ordered a new trial.
A jury found Jensen guilty a second time in 2006 and he was sentenced to life in prison.
Jones appealed his conviction again arguing misconduct by the prosecutor, but the state's high court ruled the prosecutor's actions did not prevent him from getting a fair trial.
