Dick Nelson

I'm a Minneapolis native, born and bred.   I graduated from Brown Institute and took my first job in radio at Thief River Falls.   I've worked in Brainerd, Anoka, Minneapolis, and for the past twenty years, St. Cloud.

You can hear me on several stations at Regent Broadcasting.   On WJON, I host the Daily Dose from 1-2pm and the Drive Time News 5-6pm week days.   My mornings are spent reporting news on the classic rock station, The Loon, and sports station, The Fan.

On Sundays, I host the popular 98 Country Classic Show from 9am-1 pm on 98.1 FM.

It may surprise you that I was a member of the Minnesota National Guard for six years.

In the warmer months, you can find me in my garden tending to my veggies and flowers.   I also have a love of cooking and I'm a true grill guy.

I enjoy spending time with my son Tory, my daughter Chris, and my granddaughters Ashley and Abbey.

And finally, I love radio.
