Vikings Introduce Jared Allen
The Vikings introduced their newest player, Jared Allen at a press conference at Winter Park Wednesday.
Minnesota acquired Allen from Kansas City for 3 draft picks in this weekend's draft.
Minnesota gave up their 1st rounder and both of their 3rd round picks to get Allen.
The Vikings also made Allen the highest paid defensive player in the NFL with a 6-year deal worth $74 million with $31 million guaranteed.
Allen led the NFL in sacks last season with 15 1/2 while a member of the Chiefs.
Allen had some off-field problems in 2006 where twice he was arrested for DUI. He was suspended 2 games last season and if he gets another infraction he would be suspended for a lengthy time.
Allen says he's stopped drinking.
