Padilla pitches seven-hitter to lead Rangers over Twins 10-0
by The Associated Press
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Vicente Padilla threw a seven-hitter for his third career shutout, Milton Bradley had a three-run homer and the Texas Rangers beat the Minnesota Twins 10-0.
Padilla struck out two, walked two and didn't allow a Twins runner past second base in his first shutout for Texas, which lost to the Twins 12-6 last night.
The Rangers are 9-and-17 and have already set a club record for losses in April. But they won two out of three from the Twins to take some pressure off manager Ron Washington, whose job is considered on shaky ground.
Brendan Harris had two hits for the Twins, who've lost four of five and were shut out for the fourth time.
Twins starter Livan Hernandez took his first loss of the season. He gave up seven runs and nine hits in two-plus innings.
