St. Cloud junior high track coach dies suddenly in home
by The Associated Press

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud students, athletes and educators are mourning the sudden loss of a junior high track coach.

Bruce Woidyla was found dead in his home this weekend, stunning those who knew him. The 57-year-old was a track coach at St. Cloud South Junior High School and also was a paraprofessional in the physical education department at St. Cloud Technical High School.

Woidyla worked primarily with the high jumpers and also coached football at South. Tech varsity boys coach John Telega says Woidyla was a diabetic and that the news came as a shock.

Police were called to check on Woidyla after he did not show up for work on Friday.
