WJON Sports


Toronto completed a 3-game sweep of the Twins Thursday afternoon with a 3-2 win in 11 innings at the Metrodome.  Joe Inglett singled in the go-ahead run in the 11th inning of Jesse Crain.  Crain took the loss to drop to 1-2 this season.  Glen Perkins started the game and threw 6 innings with 2 earned runs allowed.  Justin Morneau went 2-4 with an RBI and Jason Kubel had 2 hits for the Twins.  The Twins fall to 20-20 and are tied with the White Sox for 2nd place in the American League Central 1 1/2 games back of Cleveland.  The Twins begin a 3-game series in Interleague play in Denver against the Colorado Rockies tonight at 8:05, pregame on WJON at 7:35.  Righthander Nick Blackburn (3-2) gets the start on the mound for the Twins while righthander Ubaldo Jimenez (1-3) toes the rubber for the Rockies.
