Rockies rally to beat Minnesota 3-2

DENVER -- Ryan Spilborghs hit a tiebreaking single in the eighth inning as the Colorado Rockies broke a six-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

The Rockies overcame a strong outing by Twins starter Livan Hernandez LEE'-vahn her-NAN'-dez), who retired the first 15 batters he faced before Jeff Baker doubled to left leading off the sixth. Hernandez allowed eight hits and three runs in seven-plus innings, and drove in a run with a bunt.

Brendan Harris had an RBI single for the Twins, who have now lost four of five.

Colorado starter Greg Reynolds worked six scoreless innings, allowing three hits. He walked two and struck out two. Matt Herges pitched scoreless seventh and eighth innings to earn the win. Brian Fuentes worked the ninth for his fifth save in seven chances.
