WJON Sports


The Twins lost 6-2 in Denver against the Colorado Rockies Sunday afternoon.  Colorado took 2 of 3 from the Twins in the weekend series.  Justin Morneau hit a 2-run homerun accounting for the 2 Twins runs.  Kevin Slowey threw 5 2/3 innings with 7 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to take the loss and drop to 0-4.  Jeff Francis threw 6 1/3 innings with 6 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win.  The Twins fall to 21-22 and are now tied for 3rd place in the American League Central with Kansas City, 2 games back of the Chicago White Sox.  The Twins will host Texas beginning a 4-game series at the Dome tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Boof Bonser (2-5) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Scott Feldman (1-1) toes the rubber for the Rangers.
