The St. Cloud River Bats have a Twins connection to their home opener and welcome luncheon this season.  The Bats home opener is May 30 and former Twins catcher Tim Laudner will throw the first pitch, sign autographs and hand out the River Bats 2007 Northwoods League Championship rings.  Launder was the Twins regular catcher on the 1987 Twins World Series championship team.  Former Twins manager Tom Kelly will be the keynote speaker at the River Bats Luncheon on June 6 at the St. Cloud Holiday Inn and Suites at 11:30am.  Kelly managed the Twins for 15 years including 2 World Series championship seasons in 1987 and 1991.
