The St. Cloud River Bats have played parts of 2 games but still don't have a record to show for it. The Bats home opener at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud was rained out Friday night against Brainerd. Brainerd failed to score in the top of the 1st inning before the a downpour flooded the field. The game remained in rain delay for about 1 1/3 hours before a decision was made to call the game because of the water sitting on the field and the unsafe playing conditions. The River Bats had their games suspended due to rain Thursday night in Brainerd leading the Blue Thunder 10-1 in the bottom of the 5th inning. That game will be picked up where they left off next Friday, June 6 prior to the regularly scheduled game. The Bats are at home tonight against Mankato at 7:05, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35.
