AP Source: Packers allege tampering by Vikings
by The Associated Press
MILWAUKEE -- A source tells The Associated Press that the Green Bay Packers have filed tampering charges against the Vikings, alleging Minnesota made inappropriate contact with Brett Favre.
A person familiar with the complaint told the AP that Packers officials have expressed their belief that interest from the Vikings was driving Favre's sudden change of heart about playing football in 2008.
The person requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject.
There's been no comment yet from the Vikings.
The charges were reported by Foxsports.com earlier Wednesday. An NFL spokesman says the league had no comment on the report.
