Love misses Wolves game against Knicks
by The Associated Press
LAS VEGAS -- Kevin Love was held out of the Minnesota Timberwolves' summer league game this afternoon against the New York Knicks for precautionary reasons with an inflamed left Achilles.
He left in the second half of Minnesota's game yesterday against the Milwaukee Bucks with the same injury.
Team officials don't consider it to be severe.
Love was expected to practice later today with the U.S. national team at a local high school. He was added to the select team yesterday as an extra body for practice in preparation for the Olympics.
Love was the fifth overall selection in last month's draft. He averaged a league-best 13.5 rebounds in four summer contests. He added 18 points per game.
