The Twins lost 1-0 at home to the Texas Rangers Sunday afternoon. Rookie Taylor Teegarden hit his
first major league homerun off Scott Baker in the 6th inning accounting for the only run of the game. Baker allowed 2 hits and 1 earned run in 8 innings but takes the loss and drops to 6-3. Vincente Padilla and 2 relievers combined on the 3-hit shutout. Padilla gets the win and improves to 11-5. The Twins fall to 55-43 but remain just 1/2 game back of the White Sox for first place in the American League Central. Minnesota will play at the New York Yankees tonight beginning a 3-game series at 6:05, pregame on WJON at 5:35. Righthander Nick Blackburn (7-5) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Sidney Ponson (5-1) toes the rubber for the Yankees.
