Telfair agrees to terms with Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS -- Sebastian Telfair is returning to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Telfair's agent says the point guard has agreed to terms with the Wolves and will come back for a second season in Minnesota. The move fills a big void for the Wolves, who have only one other point guard on the roster in Randy Foye.
Foye was injured for much of last year, pushing Telfair into the starter's role after he was acquired from Boston in the trade for Kevin Garnett. He averaged 9.3 points and 5.9 assists per game and emerged as a capable game manager for the young team.
The 23-year-old Telfair signed a multiyear deal. Andy Miller says his client ``is looking forward to contributing to bringing the Timberwolves back to the playoffs.''
