Open houses to tell public about Mpls airport plan
by The Associated Press
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Metropolitan Airports Commission is hosting open houses on Tuesday and Thursday to keep the public informed about updates to its long term plan for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The open houses will help people learn more about future improvements being considered for the airport. There will also be a presentation.
The airport's current long term plan was published in 1996, and much has changed in the aviation industry since then. The proposed updates to the plan don't include additional runways, but they address projected needs for taxiway improvements and expansion of terminal and parking facilities.
