Missing boater found in Lake Minnetonka
by The Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS -- The body of the man who went missing Sunday morning in Lake Minnetonka has been found.

The Hennepin County sheriff's office says the Water Patrol recovered the body of the 41-year-old man about 6 a.m. Wednesday. It was about 100 yards from shore in Upper East Lake.

The sheriff's office had conducted an around-the-clock search since it received reports that the man disappeared into the lake about 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

The man was boating with two friends near Spring Park when the man and a woman jumped into the water. She made it back to the boat, but he didn't.

The area where the man went missing is about 100 yards offshore, and the water is about 18 to 24 feet deep.

The sheriff's office did not release the name of the man.
