Trucker who damaged Stillwater bridge cited

STILLWATER -- Authorities in Wisconsin have cited the Minnesota truck driver who damaged the Stillwater Lift Bridge for inattentive driving.
The St. Croix (kroy) County sheriff's department issued the citation to 70-year-old Elwyn Juenke of Farmington. He also may be cited by Minnesota authorities.
The ticket carries a $168 fine.
St. Croix County Sheriff Dennis Hillstead says the only issue was inattentive driving, and that the truck wasn't over-width or over-height.
The lumber delivery truck was crossing the historic bridge on July 7th when the truck's boom hit the bridge's metal trusses overhead, and the truck got stuck.
The bridge connects Minnesota and Wisconsin over the St. Croix River. It closed Wednesday for a week of repairs.
