Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your family.
I have been a State of MN employee for the past 7 years working full-time at the Correctional Facility and now at the St. Cloud Technical College.  I help run a small business and farm with my husband Joe.  We have four daughters all of whom have or are currently attending Foley Public Schools.

What experience do you have that prepares you for public office?
I am a Foley graduate and I'm currently finishing my first term as a Foley School Board Member, having served the last 2 years as Treasurer.  I have been on the FIS advisory board for the past 7 years.

Why you decided to run for this office?
I chose to run for school board 4 years ago because I wanted to make a difference and give back to our community, not just for my 4 children, but for the children of district 51.  I want to be involved and help make a positive difference for our youth.

Top three issues you would tackle, if elected.
A.  Keeping our kids engaged and in the public school system and consistent improvement in test scores.
B.  See the current building project through * finishing on time and within our budget.
C.  With the poor economy finding ways to stay within a prudent budget with minimal student impact.
